Filby Moore Associates is a partnership offering unique specialist services in homelessness, housing, training, advice/advocacy, and project development and interim and change management services.
Between us, we have worked for over forty-five years in the Not-for-Profit and Statutory sectors, and bring a wealth of experience in housing and homelessness, extensive management and development skills, training expertise and an almost unequalled knowledge of the provision of advice and advocacy.
We specialise in all aspects of housing and advice work, and have a unique approach to problem solving and the formation and implementation of creative and innovative solutions. Recent commissions have seen us provide emergency management for a unique 24/7 residential project working with recovering drug and alcohol dependent women and their children. We kept the project open and viable against the odds. We have also managed extensive domestic abuse services that were in crisis; at the end of our work the project was hitting all its contractual targets, the staff had regained a sense of purpose and enthusiasm, external relations had been improved and vital new links created.

Meeting with Housing Minister Caroline Flint and Linda Gilroy MP in Parliament at the launch of the Plymouth Housing Report in June 2008
We also worked with Plymouth MP Linda Gilroy to carry out a unique enquiry into the housing situation in the City and work to create a framework for future developments. FMA has also been working with Teign Housing and Teignbridge District Council to develop innovative approaches to tackling under occupation in social housing, which involved extensive contact with the tenants in their homes.
We have researched and evaluating services for entrenched street sleepers and developed innovative solutions for a Registered Social Landlord and Shelter and have experience of delivering and evaluating services funded by Supporting People.
We offer training sessions and seminars for agencies offering support to vulnerable tenants and to universities to develop their staff and students.
