RESEARCH
We have undertaken a wide range of research projects, including project evaluation of support services for the most entrenched street sleepers and the effectiveness of street homelessness Services in Exeter.
We have tested customer satisfaction for local housing authorities and provided training and assistance in addressing under-performance or problem areas.
We worked with Plymouth MP Linda Gilroy, to review the current housing situation in the city. The enquiry process was modelled on the Parliamentary Select Committee model, and the report has been welcomed by the City Council and other housing providers as a tool for continued development. We have worked with Teign Housing and Teignbridge District Council to identify the scale of under-occupation in the social sector and to develop innovative solutions to address the issue and maximise resources for local people. This has led to close working links with the housing authorities across Devon, and further work to assist in the development of a county-wide allocation model that will facilitate down-sizing across the area.
